The suggestion is simple: Keep the monthly tournament (GvG and HvH) finals, semi-finals, and quarter finals, present in the observer mode for the full month, and update in the next tournament.

I like to observe that matches, but I miss them all the time.

I'm pretty sure they stay there until the next update (don't quote me on that one though), but after an update happens ALL the current obs mode matches are wiped. I don't think this is something ANET can readily correct either, i'd imagine their wiped because the obs mode matches would be a different version of the game to the current one and this would create various problems.

Well, whatever the reason is for resetting observer mode, I always end missing the matches because I don't login all days.

Your comment have a lot of logic, but if true, ArenaNet could then change observer mode to use the "old" version of skills, even if the game update; keeping everything after a game update, including the temporal not tournaments matches.

I don't know if that's right.

I've seen quite a few games where top players are running around doing stupid things (dying to NPCs, standing around etc). I'm pretty sure this is because of updates occurring between the match and the observed match.

Tournament matches are removed about 4 days after they are played. Whether they're removed because of Anet's limited capacity, I don't know.
